From Dr. M's Desk: Understanding the Alerts System

Helping Providers Prioritize Patient Needs

Dear Colleagues,

One of the most powerful features of the QHSLab platform is its Alerts System, designed to help providers identify and prioritize patients' healthcare needs. This system ensures timely intervention and better outcomes by categorizing alerts into Imminent Risk, Help-Seeking Behavior, and Risk Factors Identified.

Defining the Alerts Categories

  1. Imminent Risk: These alerts signal critical, emergency-level cases, such as patients exhibiting acute suicidal ideations or other severe mental health crises. Immediate intervention is required. (Stay tuned for a dedicated video focused on the available resources for imminent risk cases.)

  2. Help-Seeking Behavior: Patients in this category have proactively reached out for support. These individuals are motivated and ready for guidance, whether for lifestyle changes, sleep issues, allergies, or emotional health.

  3. Risk Factors Identified: Based on health assessments, the platform identifies physical and mental health risks that may not yet be addressed. This category highlights patients who may require proactive outreach to prevent future complications.

Why It Matters

  1. Proactive Care: Supports early intervention and preventive care.

  2. Targeted Outreach: Helps focus attention on patients most in need.

  3. Comprehensive Support: Bridges gaps in addressing both physical and mental health risks.

Let us use these tools to transform patient care—one alert at a time.

Warm regards,
Dr. M
